Brewer’s Notes: Traditional Saisons drink like a Pilsner with a Belgian yeast “funkiness”. Peppertree leans in that direction and its flavor is influenced by the addition of Horopito and Kawakawa to accentuate the spiciness of the style. Rye malt in moderation contributes to the dry finish. The fruity characteristics of the yeast (often reminiscent of pears, plums) are balanced by the citrus influence of the hops.
