The instantly appealing 2023 vintage was made from Syrah, hand-picked at Waipara and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Bright pink, with a slightly spicy bouquet, it is lively and smooth (4.5 grams/litre of residual sugar), with gentle watermelon and spice flavours, fresh acidity, and lots of youthful impact.
